The 2-day course aims to give candidates an insight into how to handle paper A (drafting) of the European Qualifying Examination (EQE). By the end of the course the candidates will have learnt how to analyse the clients letter and prior art and how to define novel, inventive and clear claims which provide the client with maximum protection in the context of paper A. Candidates will be able to identify important hints in the papers leading to the intended solution, and will be able to draft claims and an introductory description in a structured manner for paper A. Where relevant, we will use WISEflow, giving candidates the opportunity to get familiar with the system used during the e-EQE.

Practice a few weeks before the real exam in order to adjust your method, on papers as close as possible to the final exam. Get an evaluation on your level for each paper, thanks to a personalized marking of each paper, comments and advices from the tutor, in particular on the methodology used and the structure of your answer.
Based on the outcome, make final adjustments to your methodology before the exam.
Please note that we will use WISEflow for this course.

In this course candidates will learn how to sit Paper A and Paper B. For Paper A, candidates will have learnt how to analyse the clients letter and prior art and how to define novel, inventive and clear claims which provide the client with maximum protection in the context of paper A. Candidates will be able to identify important hints in the papers leading to the intended solution, and will be able to draft claims and an introductory description in a structured manner for paper A.
For Paper B, candidates will have learnt how to analyse the prior art, client’s letter, the application as filed and the communication to define novel, inventive and clear claims which provide the client with maximum protection. Candidates will be able to amend the claims, and to answer the communication.

Dieser zweitägige Kurs soll den Teilnehmern einen Einblick in den Umgang mit der Aufgabe A (Ausarbeitung ​einer Anmeldung) der Europäischen Eignungsprüfung (EEP) geben. Am Ende des Kurses werden die Kandidaten gelernt haben, wie man den Brief des Mandanten und den Stand der Technik analysiert und wie man neue, erfinderische und klare Ansprüche definiert, die dem Mandanten maximalen Schutz im Rahmen der Aufgabe A bieten. Die Kandidaten werden am Ende des Kurses in der Lage sein, wichtige Hinweise in den Aufgaben zu identifizieren, die zu der beabsichtigten Lösung führen, und sie können Ansprüche und eine einleitende Beschreibung strukturiert für Aufgabe A entwerfen. Wo es sinnvoll ist, werden wir WISEflow  verwenden, so haben Sie die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem System vertraut zu machen, das während der e-EQE verwendet wird.

Ce cours intensif de 2 jours et demi a pour but de donner aux participants les moyens de réussir l’épreuve A (rédaction d’une demande) de l’EQE.A la suite de ce cours, les participants seront armés pour analyser l’art antérieur et la lettre du client afin de définir des revendications nouvelles, inventives et claires fournissant au client une protection maximale pour l’épreuve A. Les candidats seront capables d’identifier des indices importants dans les épreuves, conduisant à la solution attendue, et pourront rédiger des revendications et une description de manière structurée pour l’épreuve A. 

Le cas échéant, nous utiliserons WISEflow, ce qui vous permettra de vous familiariser avec le système utilisé pendant l’e-EQE.

S’entraîner 1 à 2 mois avant l’examen pour peaufiner sa méthode sur des examens proches de l’examen final. Pouvoir évaluer son niveau aux différentes épreuves grâce à une correction et des commentaires personnalisés du tuteur, en particulier sur la méthode utilisée par le candidat et la structure de sa réponse. Pouvoir ajuster sa méthode avant l’examen final.
